Poor Quality

After a few years, the freezer walls have moved apart so far, the shelves are becoming unusable. The door ice dispenser clogs with ice, then when you free the ice it goes everywhere. Even with all the cooling ports in the drawers closed and the fridge temp set at 43, it will freeze things in the drawers. Some of the LED lights on the front display have gone dim and the beep sound that all the Gallery appliances make is the longest most obnoxious sound you will ever hear.

Defective defrost

This is a 3 year old unit that cannot defrost freezer section. As you can see from the photos- an iceberg and icicles form inside. The door seals are all tight and there is no air leaking in from outside the unit.

This a a beautiful fridge and we were excited to get it; my husband has been wanting a side-by-side fridge forever. Now that we've had it for a few months, we are disappointed. It's not as spacious as it appears; we've had to purchase all new storage containers because it's so tight. Our salad bowl can't fit on the same shelf with another storage container. Had to get rid of all of our round containers with rectangle to be able to properly store anything. The worst part is that items along the back and left side of the refrigerator side FREEZE! Frozen lettuce, berries, milk, eggs, etc. We've had to throw so much out. Not happy with this purchase.

I bought this refrigerator 19 months ago (10/17/17) & it has been a very disappointing purchase. The plastic parts that hold the shelves in the freezer are ripping out of the freezer walls, and one freezer door shelf cracked, since about 8 months of use. At 14 months of use, two of the door shelves on the refrigerator cracked, making one of them completely un-usable. Now, at 19 months of use, the top "fresh" drawer handle in refrigerator side cracked in half upon opening the drawer. I am very disappointed that the plastic started cracking after 8 months of use & has only gotten worse & if I could afford another refrigerator right now, I would go buy one that is not of this brand. We do not overstock this refrigerator with a lot of weight, also we take great care of it, so I am not sure why all of the plastic is cracking with normal use. Also the ice maker intermittently makes ice, it frequently stops working and has to be reset.

When my appliances were delivered and the technician came to install them, I was told “Good luck with this brand!” “I would be lucky to get 2-3 years of usage from them. “Well, guess what???? He was correct! This REFRIDGERATOR is garbage!!!!! In less than 3 years, the ice maker STOPPED dispensing ice, many of the crisper compartments cracked within months, part of the display light and options aren’t working and to top it off, it is shutting off by itself. Very poor quality covered up in a nice look. As the saying goes, “DO NOT JUDGE BY THE LOOK! as looks are deceiving. This is very frustrating and disappointing that you spend this amount of money for garbage covered up in a nice look! Instead of fridgidaire gallery, it should have been named Fridgidaire Garbage! I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
