Danger: safety issue and dismal service!

This product came with our new home. After using the precise clean feature, I opened the oven: the glass door violently exploded, with glass shards tbroughout the kitchen and adjoining room and the oven interior floor lining blistered! Upon reporting the issue to customer service and the safety department I was told this was most likely due to an invisible hairline crack in the glass due to inappropriate use. I am 68 years old and never had this happen! I asked for trend information and was told they do not have that information. I asked if Whirlpool was ever sued for such an event. I was told, 'Not to my knowledge. I was offered a pro rated amount and the opportunity to purchase a replacement at full MSRP. No responsibility taken for the danger I experienced. This could have been a disaster! I could have been blinded!

Piece of garbage! First time using self cleaning and getting error message about the door latch. Didn’t have a choice on appliances in new built home in 2 years every appliance has had issues requiring costly repairs or in some cases replacement. Will never purchase a Whirlpool product ever

Don't Use the Self Cleaning Function!

Almost brand new unit and my husband put the cleaning function on and it burned up the entire electrical board in the top oven. The bottom oven won't open b/c it was locked for self cleaning and the entire unit died and smelled like it burnt up. It will now cost us $400 between two service calls, parts and labor. So dissappointed in this oven and frustrated. An oven's self cleaning should not burn up the computer in the oven!
