Paint chips

I inherited this microwave when we bought a 12 year old home. All the paint has chipped off under the spin plate and has rusted. There’s also paint missing and dusting on the door. It still works however. I don’t know what harm if any the rust is causing but we are going to replace it.

Paint bubbling and flaking

The paint began bubbling and peeling after a year of use. The microwave makes a loud buzzing sound too. I cannot find another microwave to fit the size of my built in. Customer service was not helpful.

This model came with the house we purchased 5 years ago. The light bulb had gone out and the paint under the tray is coming up. I contacted Maytag and chatted with a LauraP and her response was that countertop microwaves' light bulbs cannot be replaced and there is not anything they can do about the paint flaking. My only option was to buy another one. I explained I would not be buying a Maytag because of the poor Quality of the unit. No discount was offered.

The microwave on/off switch quit working. The motor keeps running unless the door is opened. Which the light will stay on if the door is open. It is only 3 years old and does not get used a lot. I'm very disappointed in the Quality of this product. I have never had to replace a microwave in this short of time.I also must replace the trim kit in order to get a new microwave. Which cost me 130.00. Ridiculous..... And I will have to drill more holes in my new cabinets.
